Laurent Dittrick

Laurent Dittrick has a 10 year experience within International Institutions (European Commission, International Energy Agency, United Nations Environment Program) working on sustainable energy market development. His work has covered a variety of energy issues from policy evaluation and planning, to technology deployment and market development. This includes the initiation and design of public-private partnerships in technology and financial markets. His work in the European Commission to include energy issues in European development instruments has helped him understand the opportunities and procedures relevant to the use of public aid instruments. He also participated in the design of the 250 m € EC-ACP Energy Facility. Within his work at the International Energy Agency he has namely helped develop market deployment strategies for all of the renewable energy technologies. He has also developed and launch a regional renewable energy market development partnership (MEDREP) covering all Mediterranean countries. He continues to work in this area, helping to develop market penetration strategies for private sector actors. Mr Dittrick is a lecturer for Institut d’Etudes Politiques Paris -Sciences Po- and university graduate courses on energy and the environment.
